Job Summary

Core Duties
  • Coordination of daily operations in the Store to provide effective manufacturing support in areas of spares availability and usage control.
  • Ensure adequate record keeping and manage all documentation to confirm proper stock levels and maintain inventory control.
  • Establish or implement departmental policies goals objectives or procedures in line with organizational strategic goals.
  • Manage the movement of goods into and out of production facilities to ensure efficiency effectiveness or sustainability of operations.
  • Plan store layouts or design displays and carry out monthly cycle counts and yearly stock takes on stock holdings.
  • Coordinate planning and implementation of key initiatives including life analysis reporting and life cycle planning.
  • Managing the identification sorting and location of stock.
  • Supervise the transfer of Mechanical and Electrical parts in and out of the store.
  • Perform regular and scheduled stock audits and reconciliation with finance audit or accounting teams.
  • Keep spare parts in the proper number setting and categorization in accordance with industry-standard inventory management practices.
  • Ensure verification of inventory records for accuracy and integrity.
  • Keep records of items shipped received or transferred to other locations.
  • Conduct inventory audits to determine inventory levels and needs.
  • Compile reports on various aspects of changes in production or inventory.
  • Maintain receipts records and withdrawals of the stock and receive unload and shelve supplies.
  • Oversee other stock-related duties including returning packing pricing and labeling supplies.
  • Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies and report to the appropriate departments for reimbursements and record-keeping.
  • Rotate stock and coordinate the disposal of surpluses.
  • Prepare accurate and timely weekly and monthly reports and send to the line manager.
  • Maintain clear record of store register inspection reports spot check reports discrepancy reports disposal
  • documentation/reports delivery reports waybills store releases stock cards etc.
  • Prepare and present periodic state of store reports to management and relevant authorities.
  • Monitor all store activities raising necessary flags as appropriate.
  • Streamline store reporting with efficient use of ERP.
  • Coordinate the work of others for store efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with multiple store units under operations including the Water Store Refinery Diesel Animal Feed and Engineering Store ensuring seamless coordination standardization of processes and optimal resource sharing across all units.


Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management Business Administration Accounting Logistics or any related field.

  • A Masters degree or relevant professional certification (e.g. CIPS CIPSMN NIM or equivalent) will be an added advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 7 years proven experience in store inventory or warehouse management within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Experience managing multiple store units or multi-departmental operations (such as Water Store Refinery Diesel Animal Feed and Engineering Store) is highly desirable.

  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems or other digital inventory management tools.
