Job Summary
Cape Tech is hiring a teacher for its Information Technologies Program. Candidates should possess strong coaching communication and leadership skills along with content knowledge and industry experience in computing infrastructure. This includes cloud services servers networks client devices web services/software security and development. Experience should include working with high school students or young adults. Familiarity with TestOut and CompTIA certifications is helpful. Industry certifications including but not limited to CompTIA Cisco Adobe Amazon(AWS) etc... will strengthen candidacy. A willingness to collaborate with colleagues is NOTE: This is not a technology integration job or trainer for end user applications. We prepare our students for immediate entry into the information technology field or for further education at colleges/universities. Candidates must possess or have the credentials to pursue Massachusetts Vocational Technical Teacher Licensure in Information Support Services & Networking. Candidates that are not currently licensed can be hired on a waiver if they have at least an associate degree in an IT related field and a minimum of 4 years of full-time industry experience (or 3 years full-time industry experience with a bachelors). Experience in teaching is preferred. Licensed candidates are desired but it is common in vocational education for industry professionals to enter teaching on a waiver and then pursue necessary coursework over time to earn licensure.
