Summary
The Operations Manager will provide overall leadership in safety quality productivity and accountability to the Business addition to leading the operations staff (Team Leads Operations Inventory) that receives stores and distributes products this position supports the administrative needs as well. The Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring RGLs Values are instilled in the business unit and being lived out every day. They are also responsible for creating a high-performance work environment where teammates are safe healthy and fulfilled.
Essential Functions
  • Ensures RGLs Values are instilled in the business unit and are being lived out every day.
  • Responsible for all shift operation and is available in person or by cell phone during off hours as needed.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by establishing following and administering standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
  • Partners with Human Resources in the selection training assigning scheduling and coaching of employees; communicating job expectations; planning monitoring appraising and reviewing job contributions; executing compensation actions; ensuring our values policies and procedures are followed; and coordinating resolution of employee concerns.
  • Achieves operational objectives by providing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing safety quality or productivity and customer service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; and drives continuous improvement.
  • Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; verifying expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions and managing KPIs.
  • Improves operations systems by developing implementing administering and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product; equipment utilization inventory management and shipping.
  • Coachs teammates for optimal performance through respectful effective communication. Supports Team Leaders through coaching and performance improvement steps as needed.
  • Investigates and follows up with staff on operational transportation inventory control and customer service issues and documentation.
  • Responsible for material handling equipment and monitor per OSHA standards.
  • Conduct monthly one-on-ones with reports
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in business supply chain or related area and 3 years direct leadership experience or 5 years of direct warehousing/distribution leadership experience.
  • Successful experience in supervising people and coaching for performance.
  • Business acumen - understand RGLs different business units and how they work together for synergy; understand system wide impact of a decision.
  • Autonomy/Vision - ability to create a vision for the team and communicate it clearly and with passion.
  • Influence - ability to direct motivate and positively persuade others through Servant Leadership.
  • Listening Skills - Offer full attention and actively listen to employees for understanding to improve/enhance work atmosphere.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
