We are looking for: Radiation Oncology Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT)

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Our Radiation Oncology technicians need to have critical thinking skills attention to detail and the ability to multitask within a strong team environment. This team focuses on developing strong client and patient relationships due to many cases requiring daily treatments. You must be able to drive the MedVet experience of excellent patient care and compassion.

What youll do:

Managing appointments: obtaining histories medical record keeping invoicing patient discharges etc. as well as organize and manage daily service flow

Ensure documentation is accurate and complete

Assist with radiation therapy protocols

Safety as it relates to secondary exposure and patient safety

Medications protocols and related drug dosages

Drug calculations as they relate to the treatment plan

Side effects and general treatment guidelines

Setting up/assisting with CT and radiation treatments

Venipuncture restraint basic laboratory skills

Intravenous catheter placement endotracheal intubation and anesthetic equipment use and maintenance

Client communication and education

Who you are:

State Registered Veterinary Technician license

Prior veterinary experience previous oncology experience desired

Proficient in calculations (drugs constant rate infusions unit conversions etc.)

Flexibility with work hours and able to work additional hours when necessary

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Excellent verbal and written communication skills
