Dental Patient Service Representative (fluent in English and Spanish)

Location: Winters with occasional fill-in at our Esparto location

*As of July 1 2025 Winters Healthcare is operating a 4 Day Work Week pilot in which full-time status is 32 hours/ week for full-time pay. Our current pilot is planned through December 22 2025 however we are assessing renewal of an additional 6 months of 4DWW pilot.

The hours of this position are 32 hours per week Monday-Thursday with a minimum of one evening shift from 11am - 8pm.

As a Dental PSR with us you will be one of the first people that our patients will come into contact with whether it be on the phone or in person with both English and Spanish-speaking patients. You would be a keeper of the schedule and assist patients by scheduling appointments confirming appointments checking them in/out in the electronic health record determining insurance eligibility collecting payment and referring patients to our Enrollment Counselors if needed. If you were in this role you would support patients in understanding their treatment planning including what their insurance covers and what their out of pocket cost would be.

The ideal candidate is a quick learner well-organized bilingual in English and Spanish and has a significant background in providing excellent customer service! The ideal candidate enjoys working with people making connections and building addition the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills listening included the ability to establish effective trusting relationships and a passion to provide exceptional care to the patients of Winters Healthcare as we partner with them in their health journey. Responsibilities:

• Communicate collaborate and work in a team-oriented environment supporting our model of care
• Greet patients answer questions answer phones route calls schedule and confirm appointments
• Determine insurance coverage and eligibility for various insurances and programs

Qualifications:

• Bilingual fluency in English/Spanish is required (ability to read write and speak)
• Significant background providing outstanding customer service
• Strong computer skills; knowledge of OCHIN Epic and Dentirx is preferred.
• Experience in a dental setting and dental front office is required; experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center is a plus!

Hours:

• This position will be a regular full-time position at 32 hours per week*. A minimum of two evening shifts per week are required. You will have a pretty set schedule with 3 or 4 days scheduled from 8 am - 5 pm and 1 or 2 days scheduled from 11 am - 8 pm.

Compensation and Benefits:

• As of July 1 2025 Winters Healthcare is operating under a 4 Day Work Week pilot. Current hourly rate range for a Dental PSR under the 4DWW pilot is $26.25 - $30.00 and is determined on experience and qualifications
• Covered insurances include medical dental vision supplemental long-term disability life insurance/ AD&D and employee assistance program all 100% sponsored for employee.
• Paid time off : 45 Wellness days per equivalent year 9 paid Holidays off additional 2 weeks of PTO (based on years of service hours worked and 4DWW hours). (58 days off)
• 401K retirement match at 3% and a Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
• We provide a $350 scrub allowance upon hire and $200 scrubs allowance each year after the first.
