TO: All Teaching and Administrative Personnel Brockton Public SchoolsFROM: Dr. Kathleen F. Moran Assistant Superintendent of Human ResourcesIt is requested that the following information be brought to the attention of all teaching and administrative personnel in the Brockton Public : with initial and reevaluation procedures for both the Individuals with Disabilities Act and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of of Special Education and Section 504 law and of five (5) years teaching and/or administrative experience in special : as the chairperson of the school-based IST the implementation of the schools multi-tiered systems of support and maintain records and data accordingly. responsibility for the implementation of referral consent evaluation and placement/IEP development for eligible students under both the IDEA and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. the implementation of interventions for students identified as needing additional support by the IST. interventions to identified students through the IST process as assigned. the implementation of IEPs and Section 504 Accommodation plans in the assigned school/s. annual review meetings for both IEPs and Section 504 Plans. as a resource person in the interpretation of special education and Section 504 procedures and structures. classroom teachers in problem solving classroom management and/or instructional techniques to support student growth and achievement. familiar with the latest research new trends techniques procedures and instructional materials that relate to the stated areas of such related assignments as may be delegated by the principal Assistant Directors of Special Education or the Associate Director of Exceptional :1.15 ratio/Teachers work year plus five daysReports to: Building Principal and applicable Assistant Director of Special Education
