The Girls Varsity Soccer Head Coach is responsible for leading and developing a competitive faith-centered soccer program that emphasizes sportsmanship teamwork skill development and academic achievement. The coach will model and promote the values of the Catholic faith and represent the school with integrity and professionalism on and off the field.
Essential Functions
Program Leadership
- Plan organize and direct all aspects of the varsity girls soccer program.
- Create a positive and inclusive team culture that reflects Catholic values.
- Develop practice plans and game strategies that promote player growth and competitive success.
- Oversee middle school team to ensure program consistency.
Player Development
- Teach fundamental and advanced soccer skills conditioning and game strategies.
- Encourage student-athletes to pursue excellence both athletically and academically.
- Foster leadership discipline and teamwork among players.
Faith & Character Formation
- Integrate the mission and values of Catholic education into coaching philosophy.
- Support the spiritual development of student-athletes through prayer reflection and service.
- Serve as a positive role model consistent with Gospel values.
- Administration & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to school league and state athletic association rules.
- Manage team equipment uniforms and facilities responsibly.
- Coordinate game schedules transportation and communication with the athletic department.
- Maintain appropriate records (eligibility attendance injuries etc.).
- Community Engagement
- Communicate regularly with parents administration and the school community.
- Promote school spirit and represent the program at school and community events.
- Encourage participation in camps clinics and service opportunities.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Previous successful coaching experience at the high school club or collegiate level required.
- Knowledge of soccer fundamentals strategy and player development.
- Demonstrated ability to lead with integrity faith and professionalism.
- Must complete required diocesan background checks and safe environment training.
- Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
Range: This position is paid via stipend: $500.00 - $1500.00
