The NVE Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) primary duty and responsibility is to prepare and enforce the NVE safety program for the DISA Base Operations and Support contract. The SSHO shall have completed five years of experience at a site of similar size and complexity in preparing and enforcing safety programs on contracts of similar size and complexity in the past. A contract similar size and complexity means a contract that supports facility sustainment restoration and modernization (SRM) of a complex of at leastsq ft. The SSHO shall have completed the OSHA 30-hour construction safety class or equivalent within the last five years and an average of at least 24 hours of safety training per year for the past five years.
