Job Description Summary
The Academic & Career Pathways Advisor is responsible for providing holistic case management advising and providing related services to TRiO Student Support Services 275 student participants. This position will work closely with participants in clarifying life/career goals academic and transfer advising establishing educational goals enhancing financial literacy skills and the development of individualized educational plans. Responsibilities include the use of individual/group sessions review of available academic and assessment data evaluations to determine program effectiveness and academic advising. Plan and supervise cultural events campus tours and other activities as outlined in the federal grant guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in education psychology higher education administration or related field. Three years experience providing academic advising counseling student support services or related experience in an education or student-focused environment. Experience providing direct service to a diverse population including disadvantaged students and/or students with disabilities Masters degree in education student personnel or related field preferred.
