Were excited to offer a 3-month secondment opportunity for the role of Manager Risk & Governance. This is a strategic and dynamic position that plays a critical role in supporting the Consumer Insurance Leadership Team and driving the success of the Consumer Insurance function.
Role Purpose
As part of the Consumer Insurance Executive Office this role is responsible for:
Providing timely insightful and accurate risk support and advice to the Chief Executive Consumer Insurance
Managing CI-wide governance activities including Delegations of Authority Business Managed IT Models and Business Continuity
Acting as Secretariat for the CI Value Chain Risk Committee
Supporting all risk-related ELT and Board deliverables on behalf of Consumer Insurance
This role requires strong learning agility strategic thinking and the ability to interact with a diverse set of stakeholders to deliver great outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
People Management
Influence capability and performance of key stakeholders
Support CI LT in achieving strategic objectives aligned with risk appetite
Maintain trusted relationships and adjust communication styles to influence outcomes
Promote wellbeing and a safe working environment
Execution
Brief the Chief Executive Consumer Insurance for key meetings
Prepare and oversee critical Board Committee and ELT papers and presentations
Support CI leadership team meeting governance
Identify issues and propose solutions
Maintain accurate records and central resources
Support external advocacy and industry engagement
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
Build effective relationships across the Group
Ensure stakeholders are engaged and informed

About You
Tertiary qualification in Business or equivalent (mandatory)
Postgraduate qualification in Business or equivalent (desired)
Minimum 5 years in senior risk assurance reporting or governance roles
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior management
Experience applying management frameworks to business issues
Capabilities:
