Qualifications:
- Must hold a teaching position with Lewis Central CSDin a relevant subject area as determined by a High School Building Administrator.
- An educational license from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners (BOEE) is mandatory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to the overall well-being and development of students.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.
Job Summary:
Under the general direction of a High School Building Administrator the BPA Sponsorsprimary responsibilitiesis to lead and develop students in co-curricular activities to help achieve both individual andprogram success.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement effectiveprogram that in some assignments focus on skill development teamwork andwell-rounded students.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to student participants fostering their personal andextra-curriculargrowth.
- Plan and execute practice sessions as necessary.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive culture that emphasizes respect discipline and commitment.
- Collaborate with school staff parents and community members to promote a supportive and engaging program.
- Attend and actively participate in scheduled meetings workshops and professional development opportunities as requested.
- Ensure compliance with all school district and state policies.
- Communicate effectively with students parents and school administration regarding activities schedules and expectations.
- Encourage academic achievement and emphasize the importance of balancing academics with extra-curricular activities.
- Attend support and supervise students atcompetitions performances and other related events.
Travel Requirements:
This position may berequired to travel to all related events and in some instance operate a school vehicle to transport student-participantsto events.
