The Opportunity
We are seeking a Project Engineering Manager for Water & Wastewater Conveyance to oversee the engineering execution of multiple projects delivered through traditional design-build design-bid-build and collaborative approaches. Projects may include pumping stations underground conveyance systems and carbon-neutral this role you will have the opportunity to:
Lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians on high-profile municipal projects.
Mentor and supervise engineering staff fostering professional development and growth.
Oversee project budgets schedules and client correspondence to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Project Execution:
Prepare complex engineering deliverables for large or multiple projects.
Conduct research to develop equipment and material recommendations.
Perform advanced engineering calculations in accordance with standard principles and practices.
Manage project budgets schedules and quality requirements across multiple disciplines.
Lead production teams coordinate multi-discipline activities and serve as the responsible charge for projects.
Client Interface:
Identify key client priorities and project drivers for moderately complex projects.
Communicate client concerns to project teams and develop effective solutions.
Support business development and project pursuit activities.
Manage project changes with clients under Project Manager guidance.
Technical Leadership:
Lead large multi-disciplinary teams to ensure project deliverables are met.
Provide technical input for complex water and wastewater conveyance projects including large-diameter pipelines.
Drive innovative solutions to achieve project goals.
Management Responsibilities:
Review engineering work and assignments from junior staff.
Mentor and manage the performance of assigned personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
Prior engineering consulting experience.
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary water and wastewater conveyance projects.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include background checks drug screening and motor vehicle record verification.
Certifications:
Professional registration or licensure in the designated home office country or active pursuit of licensure. Additional registration may be required for assignments in other countries; exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis.
