Key Responsibilities
As a Content Moderator your daily duties will involve:
- Content Review and Decision-Making: Meticulously review analyze and process high volumes of user-generated content (including text images and video) posted in Italian to ensure strict compliance with established community guidelines terms of service and legal requirements.
- Policy Enforcement: Accurately identify and take appropriate action on content that violates policies such as hate speech graphic violence spam misinformation and other inappropriate material.
- Case Escalation: Escalate complex ambiguous or highly sensitive content cases to senior specialists policy teams or legal departments when necessary providing clear and detailed documentation.
- Quality and Efficiency: Work efficiently within defined service level agreements (SLAs) while maintaining a high standard of accuracy in all moderation decisions.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with changes in platform policies regional cultural nuances and content trends. Provide valuable feedback to improve moderation processes and guidelines.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of content moderation activities decisions and outcomes for transparency and auditing purposes.
Essential Requirements
- Language Fluency: Fluent/Native level proficiency in Italian (C1/C2) both written and verbal is mandatory.
- English Proficiency: Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level) is required as training and internal communication will be conducted in English.
- Location: Must be willing to live and work on-site in Lisbon Portugal.
- Work Schedule: Full availability to work in 24/7 rotative shifts (8 hours per day 5 days per week) from Monday to Sunday. This includes evenings nights and public holidays on a rotational basis.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail strong analytical and critical-thinking skills to make nuanced split-second decisions.
- Resilience: High level of emotional resilience and professionalism to handle exposure to sensitive disturbing and graphic content with discretion.
Desirable Attributes (Good to Have)
- Prior experience in Content Moderation Trust & Safety Customer Service or a related field is a plus but not a strict requirement as comprehensive training will be provided.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms online communities and internet culture.
