Summary:
The Business Support Assistant provides essential administrative and financial support to the Holles St Short Breaks Service a residential unit for adults with learning disabilities. This role is the first point of contact for all visitors and callers and requires a dynamic individual with excellent customer care skills and the ability to form positive relationships with service users parents carers and health/Adult Care professionals. The successful candidate must be highly competent in IT and capable of working on their own initiative to manage administrative and financial processes.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the first port of call for all telephone and in-person visitors to the Service including parents carers health professionals and Adult Care workers.
- Utilise electronic systems to ensure accurate recording of service bookings and attendance
- Compile statistics and provide essential management information using spreadsheet software.
- Undertake general administrative duties demonstrating the ability to work on own initiative.
- Ensure awareness of and commitment to Equality and Diversity and Health and Safety issues.
Essentials:
- Experience in an administrative or business support role ideally involving financial duties (petty cash budget monitoring) and customer interaction.
- Experience working in a setting involving adults with learning disabilities is beneficial.
- Excellent word processing skills. Competent in the use of spreadsheets (e.g. Microsoft Excel).
