Job Summary
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering / Computer Science or a related discipline
- A minimum of 8 years experiences preferably gained in a railway environment of which 2 years should be at senior supervisory level
- Concrete and practical experience in system design and operation of AFC equipment is a must
- Solid experience in project management and implementation
- Possession of Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution is preferred
- Sound knowledge of computer programming and root-cause analysis is an advantage

Responsibilities
- Oversee the equipment and interface design of new and existing Automatic Fare Collection (AFC) equipment
- Provide technical support to maintenance departments through in-depth investigation feasibility studies test/trials relevant engineering operation and maintenance standards review and application of new technology
- Conduct technical and incident investigations and prepare reports to conclude the technical findings and recommendations
- Review the design interfaces for new extension projects to operation railway ensuring the interfacing standards of relevant systems are met and through continuous technical support across other functional units to collaborate cross-functional expertise to identify and resolve system interfaces problem and issues
- Undertake the assigned consultancy work coordinate necessary inputs to undertake a consultancy project and ensure proper completion of the required scope of the work with necessary professional standard
- Manage improvement projects and system software implementations of responsible AFC equipment / systems
- Prepare cost estimation technical papers and management reports
