Job Summary
STV has an immediate need in our Waco TX office for an Engineering Technician in our Transportation division. The successful candidate will:
Provide professional design services for transportation improvement projects
Desire to support both alternative delivery and traditional bid-build
Interact with client management teams engineers in other technical disciplines and local/regional leadership teams.
Design using AutoCAD/Civil3D.
Coordinate design development and assisting with technical direction to other design staff
Coordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget
Assist with the development of specifications cost estimates and technical reports
Establish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers
This is an excellent role for a creative self-motivated and detail-oriented professional that enjoys being a part of a team environment and would be a great opportunity for a design engineer to grow technical skills while also leading a multidisciplinary design team. Prior experience leading design efforts would be a plus but this could also be a next step for someone who has been major design support and is ready to take on the additional responsibility of leading the engineering.
Responsibilities include:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in all technical aspects of civil site design
Experience with using AutoCAD/Civil3D
Experience with TXDOT and other TX municipalities is a plus
Strong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction
Compensation Range:
