Shift: Day Shift 4x10 Hours
Schedule: Variable start times (5:00 AM 3:30 PM 6:00 AM 4:30 PM or 12:00 PM 10:30 PM)

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week contract assignment at an acute care hospital in Santa Rosa CA. The ideal candidate will support inpatient pharmacy operations medication distribution and inventory management while ensuring compliance with pharmacy laws and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities -
Prepare and dispense medications in an inpatient/acute care setting

Manage medication inventory ordering receiving and stock rotation

Handle controlled substances in compliance with documentation and transfer regulations

Operate automated dispensing systems (Pyxis)

Support formulary management and removal of expired or recalled medications
-
Work collaboratively with pharmacists and healthcare staff

Accurately document work using Epic EMR
Requirements -
Active State Pharmacy Technician License
-
CPhT certification preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of pharmacy technician experience (acute care preferred; retail considered)

Experience with Epic EMR preferred

Strong knowledge of pharmacy law high-alert medications and look-alike/sound-alike drugs
