Time Fraction: 0.4 FTE

Term: Fixed Term 12 month contract

Location: Hybrid work plan home & Melbourne CBD office

Salary package: $p.a. (salary commensurate with experience) regulated superannuation (12%) tax reducing salary packaging

Key responsibilities

People & Culture

  • Employee Relations: Advise managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Coordinate end-to-end recruitment including job ads interviews compliance checks and onboarding programs
  • Draft HR documentation and correspondence including position descriptions employment contracts and variation letters.
  • Policy Development: Review update and implement HR policies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and best practice.
  • HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records manage HR systems and prepare HR reports.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to workplace laws awards and enterprise agreements; monitor HR metrics such as turnover and retention.
  • Training & Development: Facilitate staff training programs and induction sessions.

Key selection criteria

The successful applicant should be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the following criteria:

Essential

  • Minimum 3 years experience in HR advisory or generalist role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with the interpretation of Modern Awards the Fair Work Act and payroll legislation and compliance
  • Experience with providing HR support and advice.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Experience using HR databases/systems.

Desirable

  • Experience in the not-for-profit or community services sector
