The PITCH

We are hunting the India landscape for a visionary and driven Executive Creative Director (ECD). This role is responsible for driving the creative vision output and operational excellence of VaynerMedias social-first creative engine in your market. You will lead multidisciplinary teams across social video edit creators design and productiondelivering culturally resonant platform-native work that builds brands moves business and grows viewbanks at scale.

This role shapes the creative floor: the systems the talent the standards and the performance mindset that power Vayners 2026 model.

This is a full-time senior-level role with a reporting structure to the Head of Creative APAC.


What Youll Do

Creative Leadership

  • Lead the creative output across creator-led content and brand campaigns.
  • Architect and implement social-first creative systems (SMAX SMASH CAIT SIC).
  • Build and maintain a high-performing creative culture centered on audience-first ideas platform instincts and retention-driven craft.
  • Translate client objectives into social-first social-centred organic-reach-focused platform-agnostic work covering the full range of output from fast social ads to multi-format social-informed campaign systems.

Content Platform Mastery

  • Ensure every SMA performs with platform-native excellence (TikTok Reels Shorts YouTube Meta etc.).
  • Drive scaling of social-first ads: 1 idea 10100 assets across formats.
  • Review and elevate edits pacing hooks transitions and retention.
  • Build and nurture teams that drive consistent reach for brands

Team Building & People Leadership

  • Build mentor and scale creator teams (writers views editors Shoot-editors creators).
  • Define skill trees growth paths performance expectations and creative standards.
  • Foster multidisciplinary collaboration across strategy media analytics production and client teams.
  • Recruit and develop unicorn talent at the intersection of social video edit.

Client Leadership

  • Lead senior client conversations with clarity conviction and platform literacy.
  • Present creative logic content systems and performance thinking confidently.
  • Build trust through iterative data-informed creative problem solving.

Operational Excellence

  • Use data insights and performance analytics to guide creative decisions.
  • Implement creative workflows that balance quality speed and volume.
  • Partner closely with production media and creator teams to drive consistent delivery.
  • Understand implement and create AI-centric use cases and workstreams that drive both efficiency and creative impact.

What Were Looking For

  • Deep mastery of social platforms hooks retention pacing editing fundamentals and feed physics.
  • Fluency in video and editing vocabulary; ability to evaluate and elevate cuts.
  • Proven ability to build and lead hybrid creative teams at scale.
  • Strong understanding of creator ecosystems UGC workflows affiliates and talent-led storytelling.
  • Comfort with high-volume output and rapid iteration cycles.
  • Strong cultural intelligence and storytelling with the ability to build content and that resonates locally while scaling regionally.
  • Clear communicator with strong client leadership presence.
  • Ability to turn creative thinking into systems not one-offs.

Nice-To-Haves

  • Experience with multiple APAC markets or multinational brand portfolios.
  • Exposure to creative automation AI workflows or 3D/VFX pipelines.
  • Background spanning both brand storytelling and performance content.
  • Multilingual content or localization experience.
  • Production or studio leadership experience.
