At Penrose Hospital an achieved Magnet hospital the Emergency Department consists of 31 beds and cares for 100 patients per day. We are a Level II trauma center and a Primary Stroke Center with a patient mix of pediatrics adolescents adults and geriatrics. Our department has a mission to save lives through timely patient-centered emergency care driven by educational innovation and practice-changing research and improved health outcomes for patients of all ages through influential research and education. We are a team-oriented department with a desirable culture. Candidates need to have integrity accountability and evidence-based decision making as well as be able to display critical thinking ability.

Job Requirements
In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day qualified candidates will need the following:
Education Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED (required)
Minimum Experience:
- One year healthcare experience (pre-hospital ED and/or patient care) preferred
License/Certification Requirements:
- Emergency Medical Technician (required)
- Emergency Medical Technician Certificate and
IV Therapy Certificate or EMT-A or EMT-I or
Paramedic Certificate
Physical Requirements -Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally and/or up to 20lbs frequently and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
Schedule: Full time (nights)
