About the role:

Were now seeking a Senior Finance Administrator to join our Finance team a detail-oriented and proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative environment.

Reporting to the Finance Supervisor this position plays a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of the organisation. This position oversees Payroll Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions ensuring accuracy compliance and timeliness across all financial transactions.

The role is both hands-on and supervisory providing guidance to junior finance team members while supporting broader accounting and reconciliation tasks as required.

Full time role 38 hours per week - $43.94 per hour Salary packaging Superannuation

About you:

You are an experienced finance professional who enjoys taking ownership and ensuring smooth accurate operations across all finance functions. You work well independently and as part of a team and you have strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee end-to-end payroll processing ensuring compliance with awards employment agreements and statutory obligations.
  • Supervise and review supplier invoices payment runs and staff expense claims.
  • Manage customer invoicing collections and debtor reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations journals and preparation of audit and management schedules.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements across Payroll AP and AR.
  • Uphold confidentiality data integrity and compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Accounting Bookkeeping or related field
  • 35 years experience in a similar accounts or finance role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll legislation
  • Proficiency with accounting and payroll systems (e.g. MYOB Advanced)
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication organisation and time management abilities
  • National Criminal History Check
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Experience in a not-for-profit environment (desirable)
  • Knowledge of GST BAS and general ledger reconciliations (desirable)
  • Exposure to ERP systems or process improvement initiatives (desirable)
