Education Qualification: Any graduation or related field or higher with minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
Position Description:
The Senior Test Engineer will play a key role in ensuring the quality and stability of software applications through comprehensive manual and automated testing processes. This position requires strong expertise in functional regression and integration testing as well as hands-on experience with the Robot Framework. The ideal candidate will bring over 6 years of testing experience preferably within the banking or financial services domain and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Analyze business and technical requirements to design comprehensive test cases and test scenarios.

Plan execute and document manual testing activities including functional system integration and regression testing.

Develop maintain and execute automation scripts using the Robot Framework.

Manage and track defects using standard defect management tools ensuring clear documentation and timely resolution.

Use Jira Xray to manage the complete testing lifecycle linking test cases to user stories for full traceability.

Collaborate closely with developers business analysts and other stakeholders to ensure alignment with quality goals.

Participate in test planning estimation status reporting and continuous process improvement.

Adhere to established QA standards methodologies and best practices throughout the SDLC.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Minimum 6 years of experience in software testing with strong expertise in manual and functional testing.

At least 2 years of hands-on experience in automation using Robot Framework.

Proficient in test case design execution and defect management.

Strong working knowledge of Jira Xray for test management and traceability.

Experience in UNIX/Linux environments and proficiency in shell commands.

Exposure to application and web servers such as Apache Tomcat WebLogic WebSphere or JBoss.

Solid SQL skills and experience working with relational databases such as Oracle MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Strong understanding of SDLC STLC and Agile methodologies.

Strong analytical troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Banking or financial services domain experience is highly preferred.

Must-Have Skills:

Functional Testing Strong understanding of functional testing principles and practices.
Manual Testing Proven experience in manual test execution and defect reporting.
Automation Testing Hands-on experience with automation tools especially Robot Framework.
Banking Domain Expertise Solid experience in testing banking applications or systems.
Test Case Design Ability to design effective and comprehensive test cases.
Communication Skills Excellent verbal and written communication for collaboration and reporting.

Good-to-Have Skills:
ISTQB or Equivalent Certification Formal testing certification.
CI/CD Integration Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
Version Control Systems Experience with tools like Git.
Agile/Scrum Methodologies Exposure to Agile development environments.
Test Management Tools Knowledge of tools like JIRA TestRail or similar.
Scripting Knowledge Basic scripting skills (e.g. Python) to enhance automation capabilities.
