GLOBAL BANKING & MARKETS
We make markets in and clear client transactions on major stock options and futures exchanges worldwide. Through our global sales force we maintain relationships with our clients receiving orders and distributing investment research trading ideas market information and analysis.
OPERATIONS
Operations is a dynamic multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking securities and asset management services to clients around the addition Operations provides essential risk management and controls to preserve and enhance the firms assets and its reputation. For every new product launched and every trade executed it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.
OUR IMPACT
Commodities Operations Team is responsible for ensuring the integrity & accuracy of risk undertaken by the Commodities Business across the world. Team works very closely with Sales & Trading teams to facilitate all aspects of Operational Risk & Control Framework. The products traded by the Commodities Desks include Oil Gas Power Metals Agriculture Coal Emissions & Index Products. The functions involve:
- Facilitating newbusiness
- Monitoring internal vs external matching ofTrades
- Trade-flow exceptionsmonitoring
- Drafting documents for executedtrades
- Confirming economic & legal terms of trades withClients
- Financial & Physicalsettlements
YOUR IMPACT
We are looking for a professional & dynamic individual with a strong interest in Commodities. The ideal candidate would be able to excel in a high-profile &fast paced team whose primary responsibilities include (i) partnering with the Commodities Sales & Trading Desks to ensure the integrity &accuracy of Derivative & Physical Trading risks undertaken by such businesses as well as (ii) driving &implementing change to ensure we are optimally managing &monitoring risks in an increasingly demanding &complex regulatory environment.
JOB SUMMARY & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Find & resolve booking discrepancies across complex Derivativebusinesses
- Daily interaction with Trading & Sales to ensure timely trade matching downstream flow &clearing
- Coordination with internal & external parties e.g. Exchanges & Brokers for new market setups or daily issue resolution
- Engage with Front Office & Technology to help facilitate the resolution of technical productionissues
- Manage monitor & investigate reporting breaks & process failures; identify & implement correctiveactions
- Ensure that processes are continually reviewed & improved risk is manage & results are achieved that meet expectations for timeliness quality & cost effectiveness within thedepartment
- Develop a deep knowledge of Commodities & Derivative transactions to support New Business &Projects
- Escalating to Desk Tech and other teams where required
- Building relations with Front Office and Technology globally
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors degree with competitiveGPA
- 10 years experience in Commodities Operations (preferably with expertise in Drafting or Settlements processes) supporting Financial/Physical markets &product
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in understanding & breaking down complex structuredproducts
- High-Level understanding of ISDAterms
- Strong analytical & organizational skills critical thinking ability to suggest improvements & identifyrisks
- Math or Quant ability to access riskaccurately
- Team player with a collaborative style & strong interpersonalskills
- Strong Service orientation sense of urgency ability to manage clientsexpectations
- Strong written & verbal communication skills with ability to be clear&concise
- Self-starter who thinks ahead anticipates questions finds alternative solutions & identifies clearobjectives
- Able to successfully multi-task work towards challenging goals & persist in the face ofobstacles
- Ability to demonstrate strong technical skills & keen attention todetail
