As part of the Growth & Business Model Reinvention (BMR) capability within Enterprise & Functional Strategy our teams work with global clients to reimagine how businesses create deliver and capture value in an era defined by digital disruption and AI-driven transformation.
Managers play a pivotal role in leading project teams shaping client engagements and translating strategic ambitions into executable technology-enabled outcomes. You will collaborate with senior stakeholders across business and technology functions to define requirements build business cases and design future-ready operating models. This role bridges strategy delivery and digital solutioning ensuring that our clients transformation journeys are practical value-oriented and scalable.
Competency Overview: Enterprise & Functional Strategy
Enterprise & Functional Strategy (EFS) a key pillar of the Strategy platform reshapes enterprise costs to fuel growth. It helps clients holistically transform enterprise cost structures in accordance with corporate strategy by re-allocating spend from commodity capabilities toward differentiating capabilities. Key capabilities include cost baselining and analytics benchmarking opportunity identification value realization strategies process optimization functional transformation (e.g. SG&A Finance HR etc. functions) enterprise operating model design and more. EFS also embeds adaptive cross-functional strategies to outperform market shifts - developing and executing go-to-market (GTM) strategies market entry strategies enterprise growth strategies and boldly transforming front middle and back-office functions.
Thus as changing business dynamics and processes drive disruption across industries our community of problem solvers partners with client teams to ensure seamless alignment of their people processes and strategy.
Job Description
Job responsibilities mainly include activities driven towards inspiring other team members and delivering results develop processes and guidance to conduct research and analysis identify value-creation opportunities lead project teams and facilitate meetings to enable decision making and client conversations. Additionally organize and prepare recommendations to address client problems and participate actively in new business development thought leadership and firm building activities; and develop relationships with senior leadership to drive growth and run operations of the wider team.
A Manager in the Strategy Consulting practice plays a key leadership role in delivering high-impact strategic engagements managing cross-functional teams and building trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders. They are responsible for driving the end-to-end delivery of complex strategy projects guiding clients through critical business decisions and contributing actively to the growth and intellectual capital of the firm.
Core responsibilities of Manager would entail (but not limited to)
Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience and / or knowledge in any sector across the following areas:
Lead the translation of client business objectives into clearly defined requirements and functional/technical solutions aligned to transformation goals.
Develop and validate business cases to quantify ROI efficiency gains and value realization for digital and operational transformation programs.
Manage large-scale transformation programs coordinating across business digital and engineering stakeholders to drive delivery excellence and risk mitigation.
Assess client operating models process flows and value chains to identify digital levers that drive growth and efficiency.
Collaborate with engineering and IT teams to evaluate cloud architecture APIs data platforms and enterprise systems that enable seamless digital enablement.
Engage directly with client executives and senior managers to facilitate workshops shape recommendations and ensure alignment of strategy technology and change objectives.
Support implementation planning change enablement and governance to ensure sustainable adoption of digital initiatives.
Contribute to intellectual capital frameworks and solution accelerators that strengthen PwCs Growth & BMR practice and enhance our market presence.
Team Leadership & Capability building
Manage and mentor diverse high-performing teams by providing clear strategic direction fostering collaboration and supporting the development of both consulting and digital fluency skills
Inspire consultants through coaching feedback and skill-building opportunities to elevate the overall team performance
Ensure quality consistency and rigor in all project deliverables serving as the escalation point for critical client issues
Business Development & Practice Build
Contribute to business development by identifying client opportunities where digital and AI solutions can address core pain points shape value propositions and participate in proposal development and presentations
Build and sustain long-term client relationships acting as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leaders across industries
Drive the development of thought leadership methodologies and reusable strategic frameworks to strengthen the firms consulting capabilities and market presence

Demonstrated experience in leading teams across project workstreams or full engagements independently managing priorities resources and timelines

Advanced analytical thinking with the ability to synthesize complex data market intelligence research findings and technical insights into actionable strategic recommendations that drive transformation and enterprise value
Strong intellectual curiosity and commercial awareness continuously monitoring emerging business trends market shifts disruptive technologies and AI-driven innovations to inform client strategies across multiple industries
Strategic orientation towards technology including a solid understanding of how digital tools assets and innovation can enable strategic transformation and enhance client performance
Proficiency in data analysis business modeling and visualization using tools such as Microsoft Excel PowerPoint Visio Power BI Alteryx or similar platforms to support data-driven decision-making
Operational knowledge of project management methodologies and collaboration tools

Eligibility Criteria:
MBA / PGDM from a premier/ tier 1 B-School
7 - 11 years post MBA relevant experience in strategy consulting with expertise in large scale transformations (Growth Strategy Business Model Reinvention Enterprise Digital Value Transformation ERP) business strategy business value acceleration enterprise-level growth
