Job Description: Registered Nurse NICU

Job Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill neonates in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
- Assess patients conditions monitor vital signs and respond to changes in health status appropriately.
- Administer medications and manage intravenous lines as required.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding patient care treatment options and discharge planning.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to deliver personalized patient care.
- Document patient progress and interventions in accordance with hospital policies and regulations.
- Participate in continuing education training and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support and educate families on neonatal care and available resources.
Essential Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications are mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to perform in a high-stress fast-paced environment.
- Strong critical thinking communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Experience
- Prior experience in a NICU or similar critical care setting is highly preferred.
- Experience with neonatal assessments care planning and interventions.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
