The Business Development Representative/Alliance Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying new market opportunities building strategic partnerships and expanding the companys customer base. This role involves creating and implementing strategies to develop new business opportunities foster long-term relationships with clients and lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of growth initiatives.

Tasks

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities markets and potential clients to drive company revenue.
  • Conduct detailed market analysis to understand industry trends customer needs and competitive landscape.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans ensuring alignment with the companys overall business objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients stakeholders and partners to foster trust and long-term partnerships.
  • Work closely with internal teams (marketing operations product development) to ensure client requirements are met and business objectives are achieved.
  • Oversee the execution of business development initiatives and manage projects from inception to completion ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
  • Monitor analyse and report on business development performance and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and support their professional development.
  • Attend industry events conferences and networking opportunities to stay up to date on trends and expand the companys industry presence.

Requirements

  • Masters Degree in Life Sciences Business Administration or a related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in business development market research and lead generation. Former experience in the Biotechnology area will be valued particularly experience in the CRO space.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills both written and verbal.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics and the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess market data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Strong networking skills and the ability to build lasting relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce ) and other business development software.
