Category Manager - FMCG

Tasks

Develop and execute category strategies for FMCG products (both food and non-food).
Analyze market trends competitor activities and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities.
Manage product assortment pricing promotions and inventory levels.
Collaborate with sales marketing and supply chain teams to achieve category objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
Monitor category performance and report on key metrics.
Ensure optimal product placement and visibility within retail environments.

Skills

MBA/PGDM from a reputed institution.
4 to 10 years of experience as a Category Manager preferably within the FMCG industry.
Proven expertise in managing both Food and Non-Food FMCG categories.
Strong understanding of retail operations and category management principles.
Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and category performance reporting.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
