Job Summary
Were seeking an Area Safety Specialist whos passionate about people and proactive safety leadership. This role supports our Fort Collins CO region working closely with local leaders and the Safety Manager to ensure every team member goes home safely each day.
Youll help bring our safety culture to life promoting behavioral-based safety guiding field teams and ensuring compliance across job sites.
Compensation:$90000$110000/year (DOE)
Responsibilities:
- Promote and implement behavioral-based safety (BBS) policies and procedures
- Conduct and document weekly on-site safety inspections
- Lead investigations of accidents injuries and near-misses identifying root causes
- Support site management and Safety Techs in effective incident response
- Ensure compliance with client-specific safety requirements
- Oversee safety for multiple projects within the local region (within 100 miles)
- Communicate safety goals and contingency plans to area leaders
Required Qualifications:
- 35 years of safety experience in the construction industry
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of OSHA Standards
- Completion of OSHA Authorized Instructor Course #500 (Construction) and NFPA/70E training
- OSHA 30-Hour Certification
- CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
Preferred Experience:
- Industrial Oil & Gas Food & Beverage Wastewater or Construction environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize problem-solve and build relationships
