Job Summary

The HSE Intern will support the Health Safety & Environment department in daily activities aimed at promoting a safe and compliant workplace. This role involves assisting with inspections documentation safety training incident reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will gain practical hands-on experience in safety management systems and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in conducting workplace safety inspections and hazard assessments.
Help update and maintain HSE documentation records and reports.
Support the development and delivery of safety training materials (toolbox talks presentations).
Participate in incident investigations by gathering information and preparing documentation.
Help ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations standards and internal policies.
Assist in promoting safety awareness programs and campaigns.
Monitor and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Support environmental initiatives such as waste management recycling and sustainability programs.
Attend HSE meetings and document minutes follow-up actions and observations.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the HSE Manager or Safety Officer.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety Environmental Science Engineering Industrial Hygiene or a related field.
Basic knowledge of HSE principles regulations and best practices.
Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint).
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and contribute to team goals.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have)

Knowledge of ISO 45001 ISO 14001 or similar HSE management systems.
Experience with safety reporting tools or audit software.
Previous internship or project work in HSE (optional).
