We are looking for a full-time contract Program Manager to join our Recovery West team!
The Program Manager will support the day-to-day operations and clinical delivery of core services offered by the team. Recovery West applies a recovery model of mental health and supports a stepped care approach to service.
Status: Contract full-time until November 2026; 37.5 hours per week. (Note this posting is for an active vacancy available to internal staff only)
Salary: $82199.84-$96705.69 annually. (Candidate qualifications will be considered when determining the starting salary)
Location: This position is based out of our 601-7700 Hurontario St. Brampton office. Although we operate within a hybrid workplace model due to the nature of this program this role is primarily on-site and/or community based.
What You Will Do:
- Manage day to day operations and leadership to a multidisciplinary team (MDT) of staff responsible for the delivery of coordinated programs and services to clients and their families.
- Ensure fidelity of a stepped care model and MDT work to provide effective and efficient delivery of services.
- Work with the Director to set program goals using a Balanced Scorecard of priorities and targets and deliver on priorities in consultation with the team community partners and other CMHA Peel Dufferin services.
- Use personal lived experience and professional expertise to navigate service provision matters and ensure optimal client support and provider experience.
- Advance direct service and administrative quality of programs by tracking service quality indicators and targets.
- Provide direct supervision to staff. Observe staff with clients and conduct regular audits supervision and support professional development.
- Manage the planning and monitoring of staff schedules and workloads to ensure adequate coverage to meet operational requirements.
- Manage recruitment orientation coaching mentoring performance management learning and development for staff and students
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable legislation (e.g. Occupational Health & Safety Act)
- Participate in overall CMHA Peel Dufferin strategic and business planning implementation delivery and evaluation

What You Need to Join Our Team:
- A personal experience with mental health and/or addiction and established recovery as well as a willingness to share experience
- Bachelors Degree in health social services or related discipline such as counselling and psychotherapy social work or nursing; Masters degree is an asset
- Registered Health Professional with a College or Association is an asset
- Minimum of 5years of Peer Support or direct service experience within the community mental health field
- Minimum of 3 years of formal or informal leadership experience including supervising a multidisciplinary team program development and day to day operations.
- Knowledge of mental health legislation serious mental illness concurrent disorders and/or dual diagnosis and recovery-based
- Strong peer support skills and working knowledge of service support models such as Recovery Oriented practice Psychosocial Rehabilitation Harm Reduction and other evidence-based best practices
- Demonstrated knowledge of Peer Support Values and Core Competencies
- philosophy and practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach listen build trust and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence
- Openness to operate from an anti-racist anti-oppressive 2SLGBTQ affirming and intersectional framework
- Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity such as gender identity/expression race/cultural background religion sexual orientation disability immigration and precarious status family status etc.
- Fluency in a second language including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset
- Valid Canadian drivers license and access to an insured automobile in good repair
- A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report
