We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager Food Services for Milton District Hospital and Georgetown Hospital in Halton Hills Canada. This is a temporary role to cover a maternity leave for approximately 10 months. The ideal candidate will lead our food services team in delivering high-quality nutritious meals to patients staff and visitors while ensuring efficient operations and compliance with health and safety standards.
- Oversee daily food service operations including meal planning preparation and delivery
- Develop and implement menu cycles that meet nutritional guidelines and patient dietary requirements
- Manage and train food service staff fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations health codes and hospital policies
- Control food and labor costs through effective budgeting inventory management and staff scheduling
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to meet patients nutritional needs and dietary restrictions
- Implement and maintain quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction
- Coordinate with other hospital departments to streamline food service operations and enhance patient care
- Analyze and report on key performance indicators to continuously improve food service efficiency and effectiveness
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns in a timely and professional manner
Qualifications :
- Diploma in Food Service & Nutrition Management
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in food service management in a healthcare setting
- Current Food Safety Certification (e.g. ServSafe)
- Proven track record in menu planning budgeting and cost control
- Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food service operations
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in inventory management and food service software systems (Computrition CBORD)
- Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth understanding of healthcare dietary requirements and hospital food service operations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Commitment to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction
Additional Information :
Status: Temporary Full-time (Approx. 10 months)
Hours: Monday to Friday - 7.5 hour day shifts; 0800 - 1600 (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $53.026 to $66.308 per hour
