Job Summary
Homestead Village is a thriving non-profit CARF-CCAC accredited Life Plan Community located just outside vibrant downtown Lancaster. We are seeking a detailed driven and passionate individual to join our community as we enhance independence and dignity for all our residents. Painters are critical to ensuring our residents thrive on our beautiful community.
Open Position:
Full-Time Painter - 7:00am-3:30pm Monday through Friday *with the understanding of participation in snow removal procedures which can and may involve occasional weekends and/or holidays.
Base Pay - Determined based upon years of experience starting rate $18.50 with less than 1 year experience.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of professional painting experience.
- Valid PA Drivers License within good standings.
- Experience with drywall installation repair and finish sanding.
- Knowledge of paint types and surface preparation.
- Follow OSHA Safety Standards.
- Must be honest and dependable.
- Ability to work independently to complete tasks with minimum supervision.
Environmental Conditions:
- Constant exposure to odors when using paint brush cleaning etc.
- Frequent exposure to dust when preparing an area for finishes.
- Frequent exposure to seasonal weather conditions as related to exterior painting.
Responsibilities (the following is an overview of the responsibilities of the position and should not be considered to be all inclusive):
- Complete painting tasks as assigned for timely turnover of units and common areas as directed.
- Utilize and transport tools and equipment necessary to perform general painting duties.
- Maintain daily record of tasks performed.
- Paint and redecorate walls woodwork furniture and fixtures.
- Remove and install ceiling tiles as directed.
- Operate spray equipment under direction of Lead Painter.
- Protect work area and surrounding surfaces/accessories from dust and paint splatters
- Assist Maintenance & Renovations Department as required.
- Understand and apply basic principles of good housekeeping and safety
- Participate in client relations with appropriate professional behavior and attire.
- Participate in snow removal procedures when implemented.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
