The Emergency Department Registered Nurse Junior Level provides direct nursing care to patients with urgent and emergent conditions in a fast-paced ED environment. This role is ideal for early-career nurses with 1 2 years of experience who want to build strong triage stabilization and emergency care skills while working closely with an experienced ED team.

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department including rapid assessment stabilization and ongoing monitoring of patients with medical surgical and trauma emergencies.

• Conduct triage prioritize patients based on acuity and initiate appropriate interventions according to ED protocols.

• Perform focused and head-to-toe assessments obtain histories and document vital signs symptoms and responses to treatment.

• Administer medications IV fluids and treatments as ordered and monitor for therapeutic and adverse effects.

• Assist with or perform procedures such as wound care splinting EKG acquisition and specimen collection per competency and policy.

• Participate in emergency responses including codes rapid responses and trauma activations following BLS and ACLS protocols.

• Maintain accurate timely documentation in the EHR ensuring thorough charting of assessments interventions and patient education.

• Collaborate with physicians advanced practice providers EMS and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate diagnostics treatments admissions and discharges.

• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

• Current Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact license with Arizona eligibility.

• 1 2 years of RN experience; prior Emergency Department urgent care or high-acuity acute care experience preferred.

• Current BLS and ACLS certifications; PALS and/or TNCC preferred per facility policy.

• Foundational ED skills including triage basics IV therapy and ECG acquisition/interpretation support.

• Effective communication customer service and teamwork skills with a commitment to learning and professional growth in emergency nursing.

• Rapid patient assessment triage and prioritization in a high-volume emergency setting.

• Basic stabilization and emergency response skills including support of resuscitation and trauma care.

• Safe medication administration and IV therapy in urgent and emergent situations.

• Strong communication collaboration and patient/family education under pressure.

• Time management multitasking and adaptability in a fast-paced ED environment.
