About the Opportunity
The Solutions Engineering team builds custom solutions to help customers achieve their business goals with Salsify as drives structural innovation around implementation deliverables (AI tooling automation practices etc..). Our solutions seamlessly complement Salsifys out-of-the-box capabilities to ensure brands are delivering the best product experience.
As a Senior Solutions Engineer you will utilize your strong engineering background to envision design build communicate and ultimately deliver solutions that solve our customers problems.
How Youll Make an Impact:
- Design and develop a wide range of valuable custom solutions that extend the Salsify platform for our strategic customers. Solutions include building customer-specific full-stack applications integrations from ERP PIM or DAM systems into Salsify API integrations from Salsify to downstream eCommerce platforms as well as custom tooling to extend and optimize Salsifys core platform.
- Deliver projects balance timelines customer budgets and level of support needed. Also communicate project updates to both internal and external team members on a consistent basis thus helping to manage and support shareholders needs;
- Develop continuous improvements within your deliverables and towards all Salsify implementation features.
- Use AI tooling automation and efficiency practices that are linked to tangible product deliverables thus optimizing implementations and integrations.
- Partner with Project Managers to deliver projects accurately timely on budget and with a high level of customer satisfaction. Communicate project updates to both internal and external team members.
- Collaborate with other Services colleagues in the pre-sales phase to help define and scope proposed solution engineering work.
- Identify and implement updates to custom-built integrations and solutions as new product releases provide replacement out-of-the-box capabilities.
- Advise on Salsify common engineering tools including Web Services APIs database integration patterns and data modeling;
- Be an active player in creating the Sol. Eng Delivery team structure/processes and mentoring;
Youll enjoy this role if you are:
- 4 years of proven experience in a professional software engineering/solutions engineering role. BS with a technical focus Computer Science preferred.
- Experience building applications or integrations in a SaaS company specializing in back-end development
- A command of at least one server-side language (Ruby on Rails preferred)
- Familiarity and interest with turning AI tooling into efficiencies on your deliverables as well as broader platform product enhancements
- Front-end development experience and familiarity with one or more JavaScript libraries/frameworks (React and AngularJS preferred)
- Experience with modern build testing tools and Agile & Scrum methodology
- Experience working directly with customers
- Ability to articulate technical resolutions to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Curious enjoy learning and tackling new challenges
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a growing and evolving industry and product
