We are seeking a experienced and motivated Senior Application Engineer to join our IT Business Applications team. This role focuses on the administration optimization and integration of business-critical applications. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in system and application administration foundational development skills and a strong interest in data modeling and workflow automation.
Responsibilities
- Manage maintain and optimize enterprise applications and lead underlying infrastructure operations.
- Ensure high availability performance and security of business applications.
- Develop and maintain scripts (e.g. PowerShell) to automate administrative tasks and workflows.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate applications with internal systems and data sources.
- Design and implement data models to support business workflows and process automation.
- Work closely with business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Lead infrastructure and application-related projects from concept to deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system compatibility and alignment with business goals.
- Maintain detailed documentation of systems configurations and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with IT governance security policies and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or related fields.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. MCSA ITIL) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in system and application administration.
- Solid understanding of data models APIs and workflow engines
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell; familiarity with other languages (e.g. Python SQL) is a plus.
