Overview: Our client a leading name in the iGaming industry is seeking a seasoned and commercially driven Country Manager to lead growth initiatives across non-Ontario markets in Canada. This is a high-impact role for a senior-level professional with deep market knowledge and a strong focus on traffic acquisition brand visibility and profitability.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic insight with hands-on execution leveraging partnerships marketing channels and data to drive business performance in a highly competitive digital environment.
Location: Malta-based Hybrid
Responsibilities:
As a Country Manager - Canada your broad responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead and execute the market strategy for Canada (excluding Ontario) driving traffic growth player acquisition and market expansion across all product verticals (Casino Live Casino Sports).
- Identify and activate key traffic channels including affiliate marketing paid media influencers local partnerships and other performance-driven initiatives.
- Oversee commercial performance including ownership of market KPIs P&L targets and ROI metrics.
- Develop tailored marketing campaigns across multiple channels optimising budget allocation for maximum impact.
- Develop and execute country-specific strategies to drive user acquisition retention and overall market share growth.
- Design and implement targeted retention strategies loyalty programs and player incentives to maximize lifetime value.
- Monitor player behaviour market trends and competitor activity to inform decision-making and optimise strategy.
- Ensure full compliance with local regulations and licensing requirements in all operating provinces.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with central teams (marketing product BI compliance) to localise global strategies and deliver a seamless player experience.
- Build and manage strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders to enhance reach and performance.
- Provide regular performance updates forecasts and insights to senior leadership contributing to wider commercial planning and growth objectives.
Requirements:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar role within iGaming online casino sports betting or performance-led digital industries.
- Proven track record in driving traffic and acquisition through digital channels and partnerships.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&Ls budgets and business performance metrics.
- Deep understanding of the Canadian iGaming and digital landscape particularly outside Ontario.
- Solid grasp of Canadian iGaming regulations and compliance requirements.
- Data-driven decision-maker with advanced analytical and reporting skills.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced matrixed environments.
- Strong leadership communication and stakeholder management skills.
