We are currently looking for a Production Transfer and Equipment Lead. The position is responsible for controlling coordinating and ensuring efficient processes for product transfers and new product introductions in close consultation with HQ. The role also includes the maintenance repair and expansion of equipment used for assembling test probes receptacles and other individual parts to ensure optimal production capability and reliability across operations.
Your tasks
1. Project management for product transfer to Vietnam 60%
- Managing product transfer projects with the project team at HQ
- Coordinating planned production processes operating resources and capacities with Assembly and Logistics Vietnam
- Coordinating all project phases using checklists
- Ensuring the availability of components and operating resources for the planned start of production
- Working closely with the project team Planning Sourcing HQ and local Procurement Logistics Production Engineering and Jig Manufacturing to optimise the production strategy
- Training on the function and assembly of the transfer products
- Checking production documents for completeness (drawings principle drawings functional descriptions instructions).
2. Equipment & Tooling Management 40%
- Performing adjustment work on assembly devices
- Having operating resources (tools devices) and production parts manufactured and assembled according to drawings/functional descriptions
- Manufacturing parts according to drawings using all common manufacturing processes or having them manufactured
- Carrying out rework or having it carried out and checking for functionality and dimensional accuracy
- Commissioning maintaining and repairing operating resources
- Checking faulty equipment according to defect report and dismantling if necessary
- Carrying out repairs documenting and evaluating them and adjusting maintenance standards if necessary after consultation
- Collaborating in the optimisation of the necessary operating and testing equipment
- Collaborating in CIP workshops
- Collaborating in the optimisation of assembly processes
- Instructing new assembly employees (operation and safety of equipment dealing with faults)
- Managing internal procurement and initiating external procurement of necessary spare parts and monitoring delivery and installation.
Your qualifications
- Completed training or degree in technology electronics mechanical engineering engineering sciences or similar qualifications
- Manual skills in performing inspections and maintenance work
- Technical understanding
- High quality awareness
- Problem-solving ability
- Several years of experience in planning managing and controlling complex projects
- Strong knowledge of project management methods and tools
- Experience in forming and leading interdisciplinary teams without authority to issue instructions
- Basic knowledge of business processes
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Proficiency in written and spoken English
- Strong communication and assertiveness
- Planning and organisational skills with a structured and independent working style
- High motivation and teamwork ability.
