We are hiring Staff nurses - Cath Lab in a Hospital in Dublin Ireland.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients take nursing histories assess and document patient needs develop nursing diagnoses and implement individualised care plans according to hospital policy.
- Observe and record patient signs symptoms and behaviours; evaluate and document changes interventions and outcomes in a professional and timely manner while maintaining confidentiality.
- Administer medications and treatments safely as per physicians orders; perform admission transfer and discharge procedures; follow aseptic and infection control techniques.
- Adhere to the NMBI Professional Scope of Practice Framework and hospital policies to ensure the highest clinical standards and optimum care environment for patients.
- Participate in Total Quality Management audits and accreditation processes; identify and communicate risks incidents and improvement opportunities to enhance patient safety and service quality.
- Report and escalate issues to the Nurse Manager; ensure effective interdisciplinary communication; manage complaints and utilise hospital resources efficiently; deputise for the Nurse Manager when required.
- Participate in orientation teaching and training programmes for students and new staff; contribute to assessing training needs and enhancing learning opportunities within the clinical area.
- Maintain a professional portfolio attend mandatory training pursue continuous education and engage in performance reviews to promote ongoing professional growth.
- Act as a role model preceptor or supervisor to students and newly appointed staff; demonstrate leadership and contribute to the development of a supportive learning environment.
- Uphold hospital values maintain a professional appearance attend staff meetings and briefings manage time effectively and comply with attendance and reporting policies.
Requirements
- NMBI Registered General Nurse licence in good standing with BLS certification required and ACLS certification desirable.
- A minimum of one year of experience in Cardiology or Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory is preferred.
- Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team showing motivation initiative and an innovative approach to patient care.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patients families and colleagues presenting information in a concise and compassionate manner.
- Demonstrate strong planning organisational and time management skills to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
- Show flexibility in adapting to internal rotations rostering requirements including night duty and on-call responsibilities.
- Exhibit current and relevant clinical experience in the specialised area within an acute hospital environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current practices and new developments in the cardiac or specialised nursing field.
- Understand and apply relevant national strategies and standards in nursing care to ensure compliance and excellence in practice.
- Provide patient-centred care with empathy respect and a strong focus on quality outcomes and positive patient experiences.
