The Internal Audit Management Team member for the IT & Digital domain is responsible for guiding and overseeing the internal audit function related to IT business transformation Cyber security and Data Analytics. As part of the Internal Audit Management Team you play a critical role in safeguarding DLLs integrity and maintaining our status as a leading global vendor finance company. You will report into the DLL Group-wide Head of Internal Audit.

The Internal Audit function operates as an independent objective assurance entity dedicated to supporting DLLs strategic goals. By employing a risk-based approach Internal Audit provides essential insights and objective assurance leveraging its unique position as the third line of responsibility. The primary mission of the Audit team is to assist DLL (and by extension Rabobank Group) in achieving its objectives. This is accomplished through a systematic and disciplined evaluation of governance risk management and control processes with the aim of enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.

As Internal Audit Management Team member you will play an essential role in bringing DLL Internal Audit to the next level in being a true business partner. Being a member of the Internal Audit MT you will increase the impact of audit by increasing quality coverage quantity and flexibility of the audit work.

Day to day:

• As part of the management team (4) lead the Group Audit team across the organisation (32 FTE) and specifically lead the IT audit and data team with natural leadership. Anticipate future knowledge and skills required such that members feel empowered embracing roles and responsibilities.
• Manage the relationship with responsible Executive Board & Senior Management related to Digital transformation IT Information Security & Data domains ensuring strategic & tactical alignment.
• You have significant leadership experience in auditing and / or risk management with a strong preference for experience within international banking and leasing.
• You are an experienced leader with a drive to connect. You have vision strong motivational and empowerment skills confidence independence and a strong sense of accountability.
• You have a well-developed organisational sensitivity and excellent communication and stakeholder management skills at all levels in the organisation.
• You thrive in a dynamic fast-paced environment and you are able to turn work around quickly.

• Hold ultimate responsibility for adequate execution of Digital transformation IT security and data audits with focus on running the business as well as changing the business.
• Pro-active role in quality review onall reporting to the DLL Executive Board DLL Supervisory Board and the Internal Audit Committee.
• Ensure all audit activities align with Internal Audit standards and meet regulatory requirements.
• Stimulate and assure a strong risk culture awareness of risks and protecting DLLs reputation.
• Actively promote collaboration and alignment between the three lines of responsibility ensuring a cohesive approach to risk management and audit functions.
• You enjoy supervising training coaching and developing the IT and Data auditors (total direct reports of /- 6 auditors) ensuring that their audit work meets IIA quality requirements.
• Hands-on leading e.g. high-profile business and digital transformation audits that require senior involvement.
• Pro-actively developing the audit function by initiating and leading (data-driven) improvement initiatives.
• Review and approve audit preparation fieldwork and report papers and provide feed-back;
• Manage the performance management cycle and align within the MT on appraisals and remuneration for your direct reports and agree on development initiatives with direct reports;
• Interact with central and local regulators and the external auditor as needed.
• Internal audits are conducted at both corporate level in the Netherlands and DLL locations across the globe. Therefore the role requires periodical travel.

Essentials:

• You have the equivalent of 15 years audit experience (internal / big 4 external) of which at least 10 years in a people management role preferably in financial services.
• Postgraduate in IT Auditing (RE CISA) and Master degree in for instance engineering or business administration.
• Proven track record in auditing cross-country Digital Business transformation programmes.
• Proven track record in auditing complex IT environments and IT change approaches (e.g. Agile).
• Proven track record in enhancing data analytics capabilities within audit functions to support effectiveness and efficiency of audit execution across the audit universe (business and IT processes).
• Thorough understanding of DORA BCBS239 and other IT related regulations of financial institutions.
• Innovative mindset and a drive for process improvement and adoption of new tools and technologies.
• Effective communication skills and you are fluent in English both orally as well as in writing.
• International experience is a must as intercultural communication is part of day to day activities. The Internal Audit team is situated in multiple locations across the globe while the IT Audit team is primarily centrally located and responsible for covering the entire DLL Group.
