Product Manager Lending Data Platform

The world of Data Management is dynamic: customer expectations regulatory requirements and the technological capabilities are continuously evolving. This cannot be done in isolation it requires bank wide collaboration amongst the full group of Data Management contributors in ING.

In WB Lending we are part of the broader ING Data Ecosystem. We are Data Owner of all WB Lending Data in ING. Our Data is being used for different purposes; Business control (KYC Regulatory) Data analysis & insights Digitization efforts etc. We have high ambitions when it comes to Data and are looking for a driven Product Manager that can help us reach our ambitions.

A Product Manager owns the what of a product domain defining the vision outcomes and roadmap of the product(s) in scope to deliver value for clients business and stakeholders. They work end-to-end across the value chain aligning diverse stakeholders and ensuring teams focus on outcomes not outputs. This role is not about facilitation project management or backlog administration. The Product Manager is a product creator and strategic product leader with full accountability for the product. This includes shaping product strategy owning commercial outcomes leading the roadmap and driving value delivery. The role requires strong market insight stakeholder alignment and the ability to lead with vision.

The team

You will be part of the Area Data Management & Platform services in Tribe Lending that is consisting of multiple squads all linked to a different Data topic. You will be the product manager of the Lending Data Platform that is responsible for all Data Deliveries via LenDX. This team is playing a key role in driving the Lending Data Strategy and is the linking pin between the different SoR and teams in Lending Finance Risk and many more consumers. The work in the team is a mix between operational deliveries (Starterspacks Finance) regulatory deliveries (CRLT ESG Basel) and Value initiatives (FO Insights dashboard ARIA Lending Guidance etc.). We serve our customers via Data Products and are incrementally releasing new Products based on demand. People in the team are spread across multiple countries.

Roles and responsibilities

In this role you will be entrusted to different activities and responsibilities:

• You will design and drive the global vision of the Lending data delivery platform
• You are a major player in the strategic direction of the product and prioritize the elements to be delivered to carry out the evolution of the product (product backlog).
• You maximize the value delivered to end users by researching their needs in- and outside ING
• You are responsible for managing the relationship with stakeholders creating the longer-term roadmap for your product and communicate the progress (key stakeholders: COOR COOF GDIL WB Lending teams)
• You are responsible for aligning and managing dependencies with other teams
• You decide on the priority of backlog by estimating the added value (financial value customer expectation cost risk etc.)
• You ensure that appropriate knowledge is available in your squad and that all relevant
• processes and procedures are known and executed
