About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to support the Corporate Investment Banks reconciliation control processes for general ledger and stock record. Ability to work within firms risk framework is a key component of the role to manage exception processing controls to both identify participate and lead in remediating exceptions reducing errors with financial reporting.


In this role you will:

  • Act as sr. Consultant for financial accounting related matters for lines of business and other control functions

  • Provide technical expertise regarding accounting issues regulatory information and research

  • Provide technical assistance on major transactions and product development

  • Provide data for preparing and reviewing financial and regulatory reports

  • Communicate practices and procedures for proper financial control

  • Articulate the impact of policy changes to management within business group or enterprise

  • Perform ongoing financial control functions in accordance with the companys internal controls policies

  • Apply extensive specialized knowledge and act as internal consultant

  • Lead implementation of complex projects and initiatives impacting one or more lines of business

  • Identify compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and may support implementation of key risk initiatives

  • Communicate and provide consultation regularly with more experienced stakeholders throughout the enterprise


Required Qualifications:

  • 4 years of Finance Accounting Analytics Financial Reporting Accounting Reporting or Risk Reporting experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience training military experience education


Desired Qualifications:

  • FINRA series 7 or equivalent work experience that would demonstrate subject matter expertise with investment products (equity and fixed income)

  • Experience with back- office operations in security settlement and reconciliation controls

  • Proficient with stock record and general ledger with understanding of security possession and control and both balance sheet and income statement analysis to substantiate debit - credit postings from trading activity

  • Experience with Broadridge system of record products (BPS Impact and GPTM)

  • Experience with risk management controls

Job Expectations:
