Job Summary
Staff Accountant SAP Implementation (Onsite Miami)
Position Overview:
We are seeking experienced Staff Accountants with hands-on SAP implementation experience to support a large-scale ERP transition for our client. This is an ongoing project-based assignment that plays a key role in maintaining day-to-day accounting operations while supporting system implementation testing and process optimization. Candidates must hold an active CPA license or be actively working toward CPA completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts in accordance with GAAP.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities including preparation and review of journal entries accruals and account reconciliations.
- Prepare financial reports variance analyses and supporting schedules for management review.
- Actively support the SAP implementation including system testing data validation reconciliation and workflow reviews.
- Partner with accounting finance and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data migration and system integration.
- Assist in documenting new accounting processes and identifying control gaps during the ERP transition.
- Support parallel processing between legacy systems and SAP to ensure continuity and accuracy throughout implementation.
- Contribute to process improvements and internal control enhancements post-implementation.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Active CPA license or actively pursuing CPA certification required.
- Hands-on SAP implementation experience required.
- 3 years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on general ledger and close processes.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.
- Experience supporting accounting operations during ERP or system transitions.
- Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced project-driven environment.
- Ability to work 100% onsite in Miami (33126).
- Comfortable working in a contract/ongoing assignment environment.
