About Company: Our client is a leading Civil Engineering and Construction firm in Nigeria.
Job Purpose: The Site Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day activities on the project construction site. S/he will take some responsibility for security health and safety organizing and supervising materials and people marking out the site making sure designs are applied correctly and liaising with main and sub-contractors and the Project Manager.
Key responsibilities:
Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials
Managing monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents supplied by the client/architect
Liaising with subcontractors supervisors planners quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project
Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects engineers and surveyors) including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of progress;
Day-to-day management of the site including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors;
Planning the work and efficiently organizing the site to meet agreed deadlines
Overseeing quality control health and safety matters on-site
Preparing reports as required
Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
Requirements
. in Civil Construction or equivalent engineering education training and experience is required.
A postgraduate degree in construction management is an added advantage.
10 years related experience preferred
Certification: Registration as a Professional Engineer is highly desirable
MBA or similar business degree diploma or course is also desirable
Must be computer literate with sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel Word and Project

Ability to work with little or no supervision.
Determined work ethic and must be seen to be professional at all times (communication and presentation)
