The Role
- Operate sophisticated scientific instruments (HPLC GC QQQ Q-TOF Orbitrap QTRAP etc.) to support core services and research
- Liaise with users to coordinate service logistics
- Provide technical advice to users
- Evaluate and validate new technologies
Qualifications and Qualities
- Masters degreeor above in Analytical Chemistry Biomedical Sciences Biological Sciences Biochemistry or a related discipline
- At least 2-3 years of relevant laboratory experience in proteomics
- Experience in operating and maintaining state-of-the-art equipment (HPLC GC QQQ Q-TOF Orbitrap QTRAP etc.) that facilitate cutting-edge translational research
- Working knowledge of MS-based technologies and previous work experience in a core facility with strong analytical and problem-solving skills is a definite advantage
- Self-motivated responsible conscientious meticulous and capable of working collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
- Competent in MS Office applications (Word Excel PowerPoint)
- Candidates with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for appointment as Senior Technical Officer
