Leasing Officer / Leasing Executive (at the rank of Accounting Officer / Accounting Executive) Capital Estate Projects Team in the Finance and Enterprises Office (Ref.: 533510)
The Role
The appointee will assist in the following areas:
- Overseeing and managing leasing activities for the University including conducting market analyses negotiating new leases reviewing and executing lease agreements;
- Assisting in rental allocation of staff quarters to eligible staff;
- Coordinating with internal departments as well as external stakeholders such as leasing agencies and landlords to facilitate property viewing handovers and resolve tenants requests;
- Managing financial arrangement for leases and conducting budget checks;
- Preparing budgets forecasts journals / payment authorizations for rental income and expenses;
- Preparing management reports and analysis for leasing matters; and
- Undertaking ad hoc tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications and Qualities
- A recognized Degree in Property and Facilities Management Business Administration or related disciplines; Or Higher Diploma with 5 passes in HKCEE including English (minimum Grade C if Syllabus A/Level 2 from 2007);
- At least 5 years relevant experience in tenancy service property management or a related area. Familiar with landlord / tenancy ordinance and leasing procedures;
- Work experience in universities / institutions will be an advantage;
- Proficiency in MS Office application (knowledge of using Oracle financial system is a plus);
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua);
- Basic knowledge in accounting would be an advantage;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; and
- Ability to work independently and as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
What We Offer
The appointment will be made on fixed-term full-time contract for 2 years to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme totalling up to 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test. Candidates with lower qualifications and/or less experience may be considered as Leasing Executive (at the rank of Accounting Executive).
