Job Summary
At this level you will be expected to:
- Support the planning and delivery of user research across digital projects using a range of methods with guidance from senior researchers.
- Learn and apply the Government Digital Service (GDS) design principles and similar standards used in the UK public sector with access to training and mentoring.
- Carry out user research activities such as interviews usability testing surveys and desk research under appropriate supervision.
- Help teams understand the diversity of users by supporting inclusive research practices advocating for accessibility and considering the needs of different user groups.
- Assist in analysing research data to identify patterns user needs and pain points.
- Present research findings in a clear and engaging way tailored to different audiences.
- Build rapport with users and work collaboratively with product managers designers developers and other team members.
- Develop an understanding of user-centred design and agile ways of working and learn how to apply them in delivery teams.
- Show curiosity empathy and a willingness to learn and grow as a User Researcher.
This is a role designed to help you grow into a confident and independent User Researcher. You will be supported through:
- A dedicated training budget for formal courses
- Structured mentoring and shadowing with experienced Senior User Researchers.

Qualifications :
- Around 12 years of experience in user research social or acaemic research or a related discipline with transferable skills.
- Some practical experience of conducting qualitative and/or quantitative methods (e.g. usability testing interviews surveys desk research).
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Eligible for Security Clearance.
- Work to a Hybrid working model.
