About the role
Join Ventia as a Maintenance Supervisor and manage a skilled team of trades delivering critical maintenance services across Defence sites. Be part of a high-impact nationally significant operation in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Oversee planned maintenance and repair works including audits and optimisation of assets.
Provide on-going support and leadership to the trades and maintenance team
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and Defence contracts.
Actively supports and participates in transformation programs.
Ensures work order allocation to timesheets is accurate.
Oversees contractor safety frameworks including SWMS onsite compliance to Ventia Critical Risk Protocols.
Proactive contractor management of all key performance metrics within the month.
Ensure contractual compliance through site assessments and initiate necessary work orders or quotes.
Manage client requests and feedback ensuring timely resolution and clear communication.
About you
Minimum of trade qualification (HVAC Plumbing Electrical).
Trade licence highly desirable.
Willingness and ability to act as a nominee supervisor.
Willingness and ability to travel interstate
Proven experience in operational leadership within Defence or similar complex environments.
Working knowledge of WHS legislation WHS committees and safety culture development.
Demonstrated experience supervising subcontractors and liaising directly with clients.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficient computer skillsintermediate level in Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook
A valid C-class drivers license.
Must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance. As a result of this requirement the applicant must be an Australian Citizen and be willing to undertake and maintain a satisfactory Australian Federal Police.
