Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Management and Problem Solving:
Ensure all activities align with relevant laws and regulations.
Monitor and interpret changes in regulations determining their impact on operations.
Develop and implement import compliance policies and procedures.
Quickly identify and resolve compliance issues mitigating risks to the company.
Adapt to changing regulations and business needs effectively.
Demonstrate strong critical thinking and decision-making skills.

Regulatory Expertise:
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of global regulations and standards.
Provide guidance and support to internal teams on compliance matters.
Monitor and interpret changing regulations.
Liaise with regulatory authorities as needed.
Collaborate with other agencies to effectively complete compliance solutions.

Data Management:
Collect analyze and manage data.
Maintain detailed records of compliance activities and documentation.
Apply data management tools to track and report compliance metrics.
Ability to analyze large data sets and present findings to senior management.

Independent Work:
Operate autonomously leading multiple tasks and projects.
Prioritize and complete tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless compliance integration.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in International Trade Business Law or a related field.
5 years of proven experience in compliance with a focus on import compliance.
Extensive knowledge of import regulations and compliance procedures.
Proficiency in data management and analysis tools.
Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability.
Strong communication abilities.
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in trade compliance (e.g. Certified Compliance Specialist). Experience with trade compliance software and tools.
4 year degree or equivalent experience.
Licensed Customs Broker preferred but not required.
