About this Position
This position is responsible for executing a range of document imaging tasks within the Office of the Registrar with a primary focus on preserving fragile historical records. Key responsibilities include:
Core Duties
Digitize and safeguard sensitive archival materials such as microfiche student records and paper transcripts to prevent deterioration.
Prepare scan and index paper film and electronic documents for long-term digital storage.
Ensure image clarity and quality validate document categories and assign appropriate workflow group box designations.
Monitor the entire imaging process from preparation through scanning and indexing making real-time adjustments as needed.
Manage incoming documents through the imaging lifecycle including final disposition via shredding.
Document Preparation & Scanning
Remove staples sticky notes and other obstructions that prevent smooth scanning.
Insert header sheets to identify document types and individual records.
Organize and batch documents with appropriate cover sheets for efficient processing.
Operate scanning equipment to digitize prepared batches ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout.
