Job Summary
Summary
The Manager Patient Access Intake Services provides strategic and operational leadership for the all pre arrival functions within Patient Access including Scheduling Pre Registration and authorization management. This leader is responsible for ensuring that teams and coordinators deliver high quality efficient and patient centered services that support timely access to care. The Manager collaborates with provider offices to align referral and authorization processes across the network and focuses on optimizing workflows coordinating resources aligning team goals with organizational priorities and championing continuous improvement efforts to enhance the patient experience.
This manager partners closely with the Manager Patient Registration to align referral scheduling and pre-registration workflows with registration processes ensuring that patients experience a smooth patient experience through service completion. Together they monitor performance trends identify opportunities to eliminate bottlenecks and implement coordinated solutions that advance the overall Patient Access strategy.
Position Qualifications
Minimum Education High School Graduation or Equivalent with current computer technology and knowledge of medical terminology.
Preferred Education Courses or training in health care related field Medical Assistant degree or Medical Billing Certification certification in Patient Access related area.
Minimum Experience 4 years of job-related experience in the Patient Access Revenue Cycle or other Healthcare related field with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Preferred Experience 5 years experience in Patient Access Revenue Cycle or other Healthcare related field with 3 years in a leadership role.
